Conference Dinner at "Old Hechelei"
We are delighted to invite all participants of the GPSD to the Conference Dinner on 11 March 2027 at the historic Old Hechelei in Bielefeld.
Originally built in 1895 during the era of the Ravensberger spinning mills, the Alte Hechelei was once used for processing flax, where the fibers were “heckled” or combed before spinning. After many decades of decline and a long “sleeping beauty” period, the building was acquired and carefully restored in 1993 by the Ravensberger Park Veranstaltungs-GmbH. From the remains of the former two-wing industrial structure emerged a unique multifunctional event venue spread across two levels, combining industrial heritage with contemporary atmosphere.
The Conference Dinner will offer an excellent opportunity to continue scientific discussions in a relaxed setting, meet colleagues, and enjoy an evening in one of Bielefeld’s most distinctive historic venues.
The dinner includes a three-course menu, a reception drink, and all beverages throughout the evening.
We look forward to welcoming you to an inspiring and enjoyable evening.
